Uplands is situated in a conservation area in Streatham, yet convenient for local amenities, shops and public transport. This purpose built home, located in wooded grounds, provides nursing and care for older people who are physically frail and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer's disease. Accommodation at Uplands is in rooms that are for single occupancy, however, some are large enough for sharing companions. Most rooms have en-suite facilities. Uplands has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room for guests to relax. Meals are taken in the separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others. Traditional home cooked food is served using fresh produce. Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist and a qualified Chiropodist. Complementary therapies can also be arranged. The home offers a programme of activities for residents. |
