Review of Adelaide Care Home, Bexleyheath, London by Diane Yeowell (Daughter of resident)

My mother was here for 9 years, she was very happy here. She made many friends, some with other residents but mostly with the staff. They gave her wonderful care, given with love and kindness. She never wanted to leave, and looked upon the staff as part of her family. I am now the hairdresser here, and I get wonderful support and help. The place is spotlessly clean and the food is second to none. Sadly Mum passed away 8 weeks ago.

My mum has been ill and lonely since my dad passed away in June 2012 and misses him so much. We exhausted everything to help mum come to terms with this but eventually she went into hospital after a bad fall. After this has been respite, rehabilitation centre and another care home, all failed in looking after mum and her needs. Mum now seems a lot happier since I found Adelaide and moved her into there. The staff certainly do care for their residents and as I visit most days they also make me feel welcome, which is a must!

Review of Adelaide Care Home, Bexleyheath, London by Russell (Son in Law of Resident)

Monday 29 April 2013

We visited many care homes looking for the right one after a very bad experience, we found a home for life for my mother-in-law in Adelaide. The staff are friendly and willing. We have seen a big change in Mum and hope she continues to improve. There are no unpleasant smells and it's very welcoming when we visit.

Review of Adelaide Care Home, Bexleyheath, London by Karen N (Daughter of resident)

Friday 4 January 2013

Kindness, care, cleanliness, the resident came first, food is freshly prepared, very very friendly. My mother would have told me about any problems with staff, but she was always positive about every member of staff she came into contact with. I had peace of mind with leaving my mum here and I never ever read her care plan as I felt the home was very trustworthy.

Everyone has a welcoming smile and greeting. If you have any concerns, it is dealt with straight away. They are striving to makes things about the home even better. If the resident becomes agitated and wants to talk to you (when you are not there) they will ring so that the resident can speak to you and reassure them you are OK.

Review of Adelaide Care Home, Bexleyheath, London by Sandra (Mother in Home)

Thursday 1 March 2012

My mum has been in this home since July 2011 & when first in there I did wonder if I'd done the right thing, when visiting I would see that mum was alone in her room looking bored & fed up although she was usually clean and tidy it was very little comfort to me. Since HC One acquired the home, now on visits I see more of the mum that loved & cared for me! She always looks happy & chats about this one & that one. Mum I know, feels not only cared for but loved & I would like to say to the Home Manager Kim Brown & all her staff, thank you & keep up the good work! A lovely home, lovely staff & I now go home knowing mum is in the best place & yes I did do the right thing!

Father been there 3 years. Fabulous care, sympathetic to all his needs, treated with dignity at all times, home spotless, food fresh and made in house, freshly baked cakes daily. Constant interaction between home and relatives. We feel very lucky to have found this home, others in area very poor.
