My husband has lived here for 5 years. The manager's door is always open and when I go to talk to him at the end of what's probably been a very long day for him, he is friendly and understanding. He never gives the impression that he wants to finish what he's doing so he can go home. Whatever the problem is he sorts it out immediately. It's a bright sunny place, impeccably clean. Staff are lovely. They have plenty of activities, including a 'knitting' afternoon (although you don't have to knit) for residents and anyone else who wants to join in, with tea and sandwiches provided. Some relatives are elderly and lonely, and I think it's helpful to meet up with others in the same situation for a chat. The residents love playing with the soft colourful balls of wool.
It's also very conveniently situated next to King George Hospital, where my husband has been admitted a few times recently following seizures. The staff pop over to see him on their breaks - how caring is that?
