Holyport Lodge provides individualised care plans for a range of different needs. Short and long stays are welcome and include care plans for nursing, residential, respite, convalescence and palliative care, as well as care for those living with Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and the young who are physically disabled. At Holyport Lodge, an experienced care team work closely with each individual to ensure round the clock care is delivered on an individual basis promoting dignity, respect and independence at all times.

Set within large mature grounds in the pretty village of Holyport, this refurbished Edwardian mansion offers modern and homely accommodation while retaining some of its original features such as a grand staircase and traditional fireplaces. Bedrooms feature attractive furnishings and decor with ensuite facilities, television and telephone points as well as a 24-hour call system. Most are single occupancy but some can accommodate two people.

Residents can chose to dine in the pleasant dining room or in the privacy of their own room, enjoying healthy and tasty meals which are catered towards personal dietary requirements.

An exciting programme of activities encourages residents to stay stimulated and active and includes musical afternoons, baking, gardening and quizzes. Residents can also enjoy regular visits from a mobile library, entertainers and performances from local school children as well as frequent trips and days out to local places of interest and charity events.

My brother became a resident of Holyport Lodge Care Home after being discharged from hospital after a heart attack. He needed 24 hr care and the care he received at Holyport Lodge Care Home was EXCELLENT. He was kept spotlessly clean. He was treated with care and great respect and with dignity. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for care of a loved one.

The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming and there is a resident cat which is lovely. Good management has been in place for a few months now and there have been quite a few noticeable improvements recently. There are more activities for the residents including flower arranging, baking and exercise classes.
A trip down the river was arranged in the summer. There is room for improvement regarding meals but I believe a new chef is coming in soon. More fresh fruit on the menu would be very welcome. The staff are friendly and professional. The ladies on reception are excellent.

My mother has spent 3 week in respite care at Holyport Lodge. The care and attention has been first class, the staff are kind and considerate and very supportive. The facilities are also very good with lots of day to day activities for the customers/patients. The food and menus available are very good.

All carers and nurses were extremely considerate in settling my Father in, after he had had a difficult few weeks. Both he and I found everyone to be kind and attentive, and I quickly realised he was in safe hands, with all his medical needs being met. The visiting GP has been pro-active and within 2 weeks my father had already seen a consultant. To sum up, my Father's care is excellent.

My wife fought cancer for 13 months and when not in hospital lived at Holyport Lodge. I lived at our home and visited almost daily. When she died, February 2014 the then Holyport Manager suggested at age 91 I might consider living here as in my old age I might need help. That advice was excellent and in so far as I can be happy without my Eva Joy, I am well looked after. I have sold our home. It is expensive but I am well off and can afford it.

My mother has had 2 seperate stays in the home on a respite basis whilst we have been away on holiday. We find the home ideal to meet my mother' s needs, namely a lovely warm atmosphere throughout the home, very friendly, supportive and caring staff in all areas of the operation of the home. The en suite rooms allocated to my mother have been fine, well equipped, lots of storage space, TV, plenty of light armchair etc. The style of the home from a resident's perspective appears to be one of flexibility ie option to stay in your room or eat downstairs and also join in with the numerous group activities or have time alone, no pressure either way. Similarly there seems to be general flexibility regarding food and drink, the normal process is to order main meals 24 hours in advance but a willingness by the staff to provide other dishes/snacks within credible parameters to suit the residents individual needs.
Generally would feel that Holyport Lodge delivers very good value for money care and support.

I cannot recommend these people enough, they showed themselves to be helpful and kindness itself at a time when I found life very difficult. From the moment I walked into Holyport Lodge, the manager and all his staff did everything they could to reassure me that Peter, a lifelong friend would be cared for as if he were a member of their own family. We knew that he was to be admitted from the NHS for end of life care, and yet the staff made sure that he was never in pain, his dignity was always preserved and nothing was too much trouble for them. He had constant attention from the staff and was extremely grateful for all the care he received. They let me stay with him over night as the demons took hold and I was also shown courtesy and support when the going got tough. I would highly recommend Holyport Lodge to anyone looking to care for a relative.
