Review of Brendoncare Alton, Alton, Hampshire by Ysanne (Daughter of Resident)

Tuesday 5 March 2013

We were anxious to find a nursing homes for my mother who was on the isle of Wight, she was quite poorly and she needed to be transferred as far as I was concerned fast, Brendoncare was it seemed well run, light, cheerful, fresh and well maintained home we visited. The staff are kind, friendly and respectful to residents and approachable. My Mother has settled far better than we expected, which I think speaks volumes for the standard of care she receives. she has had a few extra needs which have all been met well. An added attraction is a visitors dining room where residents (and those from adjacent sheltered flats) may eat with friends and family, this is also licensed for all to use, and it is well used, the activities are daily and sometimes twice daily, they have an on site hairdresser a shop and a bookswap area, I am sure they have more than I have said, but we are still finding news things around each corner, I would recommend Brendoncare to anyone, I keep telling my husband that Brendoncare will be our next move, but as we are not yet 60 we have to wait !!

Review of Brendoncare Alton, Alton, Hampshire by Tessa Voller (Daughter of resident)

We looked at several nursing homes for my mother but Brendoncare was, by far, the best run, lightest, most cheerful and well maintained home we visited. The staff are also kind, friendly and respectful to residents and approachable. Mother has settled far better than we expected or believed possible, which I think speaks volumes for the standard of care she receives. A special attraction is a very nice visitors dining room where residents (and those from adjacent sheltered flats) may eat with friends and family.
