Lovely caring place to be. Friendly staff, very well cared for. All staff are always helpful with any issues we have had and have resolved very quickly. Mother-in-law has been at The Old Parsonage since August and as a family we have been very happy with everything.

My mother was admitted to The Old Parsonage as she kept having falls and was not safe or able to look after herself at home. She was very much a loner not mixing or going out. Since being at the care home the staff and carers have encouraged her to mix and join in activities. If she says no they respect her wishes, but have gradually persuaded her to join in and she is a better person.

'This place deserves our support' said my 20 year old son biting into a piece of Christmas cake. It was boxing day afternoon and we were checking that my mother had recovered from her Christmas day visit to our home. As soon as we arrived the team leader on duty organised tea and cake for us to celebrate. The gesture was typical of the caring, professional and friendly atmosphere in this care home. I can arrange holidays away now knowing I needn't worry.

This nursing home is very homely and caring. The staff talk to the patients not at them and show great patience and empathy. This starts at the top management level and reaches right down to all the support and ancillary staff. They welcome visitors and show an interest in them. All staff have been approachable and do their utmost to accommodate visitors request to take their 'patient' relations out. The whole home creates a warm caring atmosphere.

My mother has been in the home for two years. The staff are excellent, looking after and suggesting ways to make things easier for her. The lunches look and smell delicious and she has gained weight whilst in the care home.
