Thank you very much for taking the time to review Hampton Lodge. We are grateful for your positive comments.

My mother was cared for at Hampton Lodge and the care she received was exemplary. She had Motor Neurones Disease and became increasingly physically disabled throughout her stay. ALL members of staff treated her with kindness, dignity and compassion. Despite my mother's illness she had a great sense of humour and although her speech became increasingly more difficult for her, and for other people to understand, the staff always found time to listen to her and would make her laugh, which really helped mum enjoy each day. Mum really felt at "home" here and even towards the end of her life when she needed much more nursing care, more time and more staff were provided for her. As a family we were always made to feel welcome and were never made to feel "in the way". I cannot express enough the feeling of genuine kindness and thoughtfulness at Hampton Lodge. I would highly recommend this care home.

My father's end of life care was exemplary. The staff understood and respected his wishes ensuring that they were respected by all health professionals. This meant that they had to be quite assertive in standing up to hospital staff who felt he should be in hospital. In addition they were very caring and supportive of the family, as they have been throughout his stay at the home I will always be grateful to them for the help and kindness they showed us and him during this final phase of his life.

Since my sister moved into Hampton Lodge she has improved to a very high standard. We the family are so happy with her progress, the staff and the manager are really fantastic, they are short staffed but they are fantastic at doing their job. The manager, there isn't a boss like him around, he is hands on full time and my sister loves him to bits! he is the best around. If I too fall ill, would definitely love to be here, what a fantastic bunch this place have.

We the family of Joanne Isaacs can not express how much we are so very pleased that the Manager Alan of Hampton Lodge, Hill Lane is absolutely the best manager. He feeds Joanne custard as she had bad stroke in 2012 and since Joanne moved into Hampton Lodge in March 2015 we have seen a huge difference in Joanne. Alan is so very understanding, sincere and he explains, and answers our questions about Joanne. So can you please send Alan our much and many thank you's from us all. Friendly and caring nursing home that focuses on genuinely individualised care.

My mother has been cared for at Hampton Lodge for the past 3 months. She has a progressively disabling neurological disease and has to cope with a day-by-day deterioration of physical ability and independence. The staff at Hampton Lodge are caring, considerate and they work hard to ensure that Mum's care is tailored to her individual needs. It really feels like a "home" and not an organisation. There are a variety of activities throughout the week which the staff help Mum to attend if she wants to. However, and just as importantly, they accept that she often feels too tired to join in. She is allowed to be an individual. Mum is visited by the chef each mealtime and offered a choice of dish, freshly cooked on the premises, which is then adapted to her individual needs as her ability to eat deteriorates. There is a hairdresser there which Mum sees every week, plus a visiting chiropodist and optician. The staff are kind, helpful and cheerful and the management team are supportive and approachable. She is treated with dignity, respect and kindness and I recommend them with confidence.
