Review of Highfield Nursing Home

My wife received day care at Highfield Nursing Home from December 2006 until 2009 when the problems arising from her Polio and Parkinsons meant that she needed full time nursing. From 2009 until her death in 2013 she was a resident in Highfield. Throughout these seven years the nursing and medical care she has received has been of the highest order. In the last four years when she has been a resident, Highfield has always made me welcome and the hospitality given me has made it possible for me to spend almost every day with her. As the time of her death approached she and I, and our family, were comforted by the assurance that the end of life care plan previously discussed and agreed with the staff would take care of everything. Her death was as she hoped it would be, peaceful and in familiar surroundings and with staff she knew, and with her family with her.
