Kippington Care Home with Nursing is a large Victorian house, which has been converted into a well-presented care home with nursing. It is located in close proximity to the pleasant market town of Sevenoaks in the beautiful county of Kent, known as the Garden of England. Its proximity to the centre of town makes Kippington fully accessible to local shops and amenities. The home is set within landscaped gardens with views which extend for nearly two miles.
Formerly known as Kippington Grange, this fine house was originally built in 1874 as a grand private family home. Steeped in history and provenance, the house is reputed to have had connections with Thomas Farnaby who sailed with Sir Francis Drake, and Jane Austen who frequented the area to visit her uncle, Frances Motley-Austin, a resident of the area.
In 1952 the house was converted into a care home of distinction whilst retaining many of its period features. The home has been carefully designed to provide up to the minute care facilities of the highest quality to ensure comfort and care.
The transition into a care home can be challenging for both an individual and their family. Caring Homes recognises this and provides a working partnership that upholds the values of dignity, privacy, choice and independence with the aim of providing practical assistance to the individual moving to our home.

There always seems to be a happy positive atmosphere in the home. Residents have a choice to join in different activities that are organised. There seems to be a good food choice and attention to detail with flowers on the dinning tables and fruit in the fruit bowls, help make it welcoming and homely. The two resident cats are also entertaining! Staff all seem to be doing a good job and always have a smile. Keep up the good work and a big thank you to all.

Mother has settled in well and is happy with her room and the facilities available within the nursing home. The staff of all ranges (nursing, caring and domestic) are all very attentive and create a most acceptable and pleasing environment. Various activities and entertainment are arranged for the residents which they get involved in. I have no hesitation in recommending Kippington Nursing Home, who look after my mother to a high standard.

It was a big thing for Dad to go into a nursing home. As a family we wanted him to be local to where our mother lives. When a place became available at Kippington, we were only too pleased to take that place as Dad had been there for respite on a few occasions. On the respite, he was always very happy and was made to feel part of the Kippington family. Since being a permanent resident, we can only praise all the staff for their care and attention to Dad. We know that he is extremely happy as when we visit he tells us that he is looked after well and has a laugh and a joke with all the staff. This means such a lot to us as Mum was really worried about him having to go into a home.

It was a difficult time for my mother who is only 64 years young. On our first visit to Kippington as a family we were all surprised and impressed. The staff were all approachable and friendly. There were no nasty smells, everything was clean and attention to detail like flowers in the dining room and fresh fruit and a couple of resident's cats made it all feel like home. The food and choice is all very good. The activity co-ordinators have thought for all residents and are aware of needs from quiet time to a jolly to the seaside. After 9 months of my mother being there standards have not slipped and I cannot fault or thank staff enough for their hard work, time and patience.

The staff are amazing. They show nice care for my mum all the time. The nurses always ring me with any concerns over my mum. The friendliness of the home is a great help to my mum and our family.
