Kippington Nursing Home is located close to the centre of the pleasant market town of Sevenoaks in the beautiful county of Kent known as the Garden of England. It’s proximity to the centre of town, makes Kippington fully accessible to local shops and amenities. Kippington is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to provide both short and long term care packages for 55 elderly people who require nursing care.

General Description

This elegant period property provides accommodation over 3 floors with a lift linking all floors, making all areas of the home easily accessible.

On the ground floor there is an elegant panelled day room, which adjoins an attractive conservatory with views over the large landscaped gardens, which Kippington is famous for. In addition there are a number of standard and premier bedrooms, most of which have en-suite facilities and some of which offer attractive decked terraces which are ideal for those with a keen desire to maintain container gardening and who enjoy a private outdoor area to sit, read or simply take in the surroundings.

On the first and second floors there are further bedrooms and a second dining room / activities room for those who wish to take part in our full and varied activities programme.

The grounds at Kippington provide a haven for wildlife and an idyllic location for residents. With almost 2 acres of landscaped gardens there is a host of traditional and unusual planting combined with attractive seating areas and the well-known sensory garden, which is a blaze of colour and scent throughout the year.

We provide both long and short-term care packages, which are aimed a meeting the needs of each individual in our care, whether their stay is merely to provide a short respite to the mundane daily living tasks associated with living at home or if Kippington becomes home for the longer term.

The care and well being of each individual in our care is paramount. We offer flexible and unobtrusive care which is delivered by qualified nurses who are supported by care assistants through individualised care programmes which are designed in consultation with each resident, their family where appropriate and the Nurse in Charge.

Each care plan is developed to address a persons’ holistic needs, ranging from health, spiritual, occupational, physical and day to day living, to ensure that a persons’ total needs are supported throughout their stay with us.

Daily life at Kippington offers variety and promotes independence. We have a team of dedicated staff who are on hand to facilitate a residents every need from activities to outings, through to home cooked meals and social functions.

Food is an important aspect of daily life, and our kitchen team place an emphasis on traditional cooking, plentiful servings and choice. We can cater for special diets and offer a vegetarian alternative at all sittings. Meals can be taken in a residents’ room, conservatory, first floor dining area or the garden in more clement weather.
