The Review Score of 9.060 for Banbury Heights Nursing Home is based on 10 Reviews/Recommendations in the last 2 years.

  • The Review Score (maximum of 10) is made up of a Quality Score (maximum of 5) and Quantity Score (maximum of 5):

    • Quality Score: 5 Points are available for the average rating. For each review the care home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The care home / service receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating. (Please note that the ratings of Very Poor and Poor have only been available since the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015.)

      The Quality Score (average rating) of 4.703 for Banbury Heights Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (87 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 118 Ratings = 4.703

      • Any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this care provider to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

      • Any Recommendation. Before the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015 all feedback was limited to Recommendations (ie positive comments only)

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

      1. 3 points for receiving the first Positive Review.

      2. 0.1 Point per Positive Review, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. (ie a care home / service requires 10 Positive Reviews to receive the maximum score of 1 point.)

      3. (Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.

(For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

The Quantity Score of 4.357 for Banbury Heights Nursing Home is calculated as follows:

      1. 10 Positive Reviews = 3

      2. 0.1 x 10 Positive Reviews = 1.000

      3. (10 Positive Reviews ÷ 56 Registered Beds) x 2 = 0.357

My mum was cared for kindly and with great care and compassion by the wonderful nurses and carers of this care home. Sadly, due to chronic complications that pre-existed before my mum was cared for at this home, she passed away in peace and comfort amongst nurses and carers who were very kind, patient and spiritual. I wrote directly to the care home to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the kindness and compassion shown not only to my beloved mum, but our entire family.

Living in the USA made it very difficult to be happy
with dad not living at home. Once I saw the facility and met the wonderful, caring staff, it put my mind at ease. Knowing that dad is safe and looked after and that mum has the support she needs, makes it a lot easier to come to terms with his situation. Thank you!

I was transferred from J.R Hospital for respite after a fall I didn't come here happily, I was really upset. But now realise it was the best thing for me as I needed rest and care to recuperate from the bad fall and head trauma. I was very well treated, all the staff were kind, patient, and looked after all the residents here.

I moved my cousin from another large care home in Banbury as I felt the care was not of a good standard. I can recommend Banbury Heights for its high standard of care which the management take great pride. That includes the nursing staff who look after my Cousin. They treat her with consideration and dignity. The cleaning staff keep the home clean and tidy. It's a nice home to visit.
