Glebefields is an impressive stone built former rectory, overlooking miles of ancient countryside known for its outstanding natural beauty, including the adjacent Norman Parish Church of St. Peter. We stand in landscaped grounds within the picturesque village of Drayton, just half a mile outside Banbury and eleven miles from Brackley. Despite its rural setting, Glebefields is accessible, with convenient access to shops, restaurants and public transport links. All our rooms have private direct-dial telephone, electric profiling beds, television points, satellite television points, refrigerators, a lockable facility for valuables, a nurse call alarm, fire sprinklers and smoke detectors. Many have patio doors to the gardens. We provide personal care, nursing care and specialist Dementia care for older people on a long term, convalescent and short stay basis. Dementia Care is provided in our dedicated self contained suite of rooms, “Willow Lane”, which is a centre of excellence for this type of care. Willow Lane has been designed, furnished and decorated according to latest thinking from specialist researchers into Dementia. Twenty-four hour cover is provided by a qualified, experienced and committed care team specifically recruited for their sensitivity, dedication and professional expertise in this area of care. All specialist equipment is available. All Majesticare’s Homes put Residents’ choices first, and at Glebefields you are free to eat your meals in our dining rooms or in your own room. We are happy to provide meals for visitors as well. Our fresh home-cooked food is nutritionally balanced and we cater for special requirements such as vegetarian or soft foods. At Glebefields we have a dedicated activities organiser who arranges a lively social calendar including arts, entertainment, exercise, trips such as shopping, and events in the Home. We also arrange regular visits from Hairdressers, chiropodists, dentists, opticians, local GP’s, and a range of other professionals. |
