Oaken Holt is a unique country estate surrounded by 23 acres of landscaped gardens and peaceful parklands. Located in the picturesque village of Farmoor, close to the dreaming spires of Oxford, Oaken Holt offers the perfect blend of tranquillity and accessibility.

Oaken Holt provides assisted living, residential and nursing care across three stunning environments. A friendly, caring home staff shortages are sometimes a problem but this seems to be a theme in most care homes. I cannot comment on the main nursing wing as my mother is living in the assisted living care coach house where she is happy. The food standard varies although I have only had nice meals there.

Oaken Holt Care Home with Nursing

My father has Alzheimers and osteoarthritis of his hip which makes it impossible for him to walk or be left unattended for long periods of time. He went into Oaken Holt in February 2015 and has received fantastic care. Everybody who works at Oaken Holt is very friendly and informative. They show great patience with him and have made the effort to get to know him as a person. I have no complaints at all in the way he's being cared for.

My mum has dementia and dad recently died of cancer in Oaken Holt. I have spent a lot of time there with my parents over the past year and in my view have seen excellence in practice. Both mum and dad have received the most wonderful care. Staff could not have been kinder or more caring.
