Buxton Lodge has acquired a reputation as having the very highest standards for residents with all levels of care. As you’d expect from New Century Care and Buxton Lodge, our standards are second to none, and we employ highly trained registered nurses and care assistants who provide 24-hour professional support
Buxton Lodge’s experienced team of staff are all trained in looking after people, including those with dementia and complex nursing needs. We believe in providing a balance between support when it’s needed, and helping residents maintain their independence, whilst encouraging each resident to lead a full and active lifestyle wherever possible.
We believe the person centred care for every resident is unique. Therefore each resident living with us has their own individual plan of care that meets their emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs as well as physical needs. All our staff are committed to helping our residents to maintain self-respect and dignity at all times.
Stimulation and activities are particularly important to our resident’s who enjoy physical and mental activities such as baking, reminiscence, painting, music and arts, gardening, pet care, gentle exercise and life skills, which helps bolster their strength and energy, improve their appetite and humour, and offers them an opportunity to interact with staff and other residents.

Review of Buxton Lodge Care Home, Caterham, Surrey by Michele Broad (my mum sylvia castle)
Wednesday 5 December 2012
This care home was full of wonderful carers and Genevieve the lady that runs it was also very caring.... Sadly my mum was unwell and died after a couple of months but I will never forget, Denise, Ahmed, Carl, Nicola, Angie and especially Dawn who all looked after Mum and all the others. My mum lived and died with dignity... Also they treated us all very kindly all the way through... It was clean, tidy, lovely flowers, great food from the lady cook... Lots of entertainment, quiz days, music. I would so recommend this care home... Pretty garden... I made friends there with the carers and can honestly say no amount of money would be enough for those carers to earn they are beautiful people knowing Mum was in there kept me sane and visiting her was a pleasure I'm so so sad my mum has died as she faded away and I guess she had been unwell for a long time there was a lot of complications with a local hospital and council but I can't remember those times just the happy ones.
