Buxton Lodge’s experienced team of staff are all trained in looking after people, including those with dementia and complex nursing needs. staff believe in providing a balance between support when it’s needed, and helping residents maintain their independence, whilst encouraging each resident to lead a full and active lifestyle wherever possible.
Professionals believe the person centred care for every resident is unique. Therefore each resident has their own individual plan of care that meets their emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs as well as physical needs. All staff are committed to helping residents to maintain self-respect and dignity at all times.
Stimulation and activities are particularly important to residents who enjoy physical and mental activities such as baking, reminiscence, painting, music and arts, gardening, pet care, gentle exercise and life skills, which helps bolster their strength and energy, improve their appetite and humour, and offers them an opportunity to interact with staff and other residents.

I am very impressed with this care home after two years. Very clean - no urine smell when I arrived here to see a friend, the residents who were in the lounge looked happy.
