Review of Wingham Court Care Centre

The premises are very nice inside and out. The food is decent, rooms spacious, outings frequent - but it's the care that makes this home outstanding. My husband is a lovely, funny chap but he has patches of aggressive grumpiness. They can't manhandle him or shout back (obviously) but they take so much patient trouble to talk him round and are always looking to learn as much as they can about him, to help him better. You'd never be afraid to go home and leave your relative with them.

Review of Wingham Court Care Centre

Mother went to Wingham 5 years ago from RNOH, Stanmore after becoming tetraplegic with C4/5 incomplete injury. It was the only home in the area that could manage her 24 hour needs (visited 8). Working with physio and OTs on a daily basis, she is walking again. The home's multidisciplinary team have been consistently excellent and respond well to family requests as medical needs change. They now have 4 residents with spinal injury. The manager has close contact with the spinal unit at RNOH. Invited community liason sister to do specialist training with care home staff. We could not achieve a better result or care for mother.

Review of Wingham Court Care Centre

My son has been a resident for 11 years. He suffered a severe head injury in 1994 which has left him with memory problems, paranoia and periodic epileptic seizures. He is being treated with psycotic drugs for schizophrenia. He loves Wingham Court and I am totally happy with his care in every respect.

Review of Wingham Court Care Centre

The care and support not only shown to my husband but to myself and my children is over and above anything that I expected. This care home is like a community that my husband now lives in, all the residents and staff are so friendly. I know I can walk away knowing my husband is cared for and supported but also surrounded by friends.
