Moorlands is located on the edge of the village of Lightwater in Surrey. The village is located close to the town of Camberley and has a number of well-known attractions within close proximity. Public transport links to London are available from nearby Bagshot or Sunningdale Stations, with a direct link to the main central London terminus, Waterloo, reached within 45 minutes travelling time. London Heathrow Airport is 20 miles east northeast, reached via the M3 and M25 motorways, or the A30, whilst London Gatwick Airport is some 45 miles southeast, via the M3, M25 and M23. The village is a quarter mile from the M3 motorway, providing easy access to the south coast of England. Moorlands Nursing Home is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to provide both short and long-term nursing care to 41 elderly people. Our home manager Henrietta Buckley has been the manager of Moorlands for a number of years during which time she has established an excellent reputation for care, which is supported by an excellent inspection report. General description Located in a semi-rural setting, on edge of the village of Lightwater, in Surrey, Moorlands Nursing Home was originally built in the early 1900’s and has been sympathetically converted and extended to provide accommodation and nursing care to 41 residents. The interior is tastefully furnished and our comfortable lounge and coffee areas overlook the large, landscaped gardens. There is also an attractive central courtyard area, which is well used during the summer months. Moorlands has well proportioned rooms, boasting a wealth of original features. All bedrooms are fitted with television and telephone points, and many are with en-suite facilities. Residents may, I they wish, bring their own possessions to add that valuable personal touch to make their room as homely as possible, and to ease the transition of the move into their new home. Our modern equipment, attention to detail and good facilities ensures the well being of our residents. A nurse call system is fitted throughout the home for that added peace of mind, and to ensure that assistance is available at any time. There is a well-appointed hairdressing salon and aromatherapy and other specialist therapies are available if required. Our staff who have been selected for their caring approach, encourage a happy, friendly atmosphere at all times. Our qualified nurses, who are in attendance 24 hours a day, have a wide experience in nursing older people; continuous training and development support this. The quality of nursing care is of prime importance, and we aim to achieve high standards of care whilst respecting the personal needs, privacy and dignity of each resident. If you are looking for a quality assured care home for yourself, a friend or family member, please contact our home manager Henrietta Buckley for further information or to arrange a viewing. |
