Our mother spent the last three months of her life at Moorlands. during this time we could not fault the care she was given. We were kept up to date with any doctors visits or change in her care needs. Our Mum enjoyed her stay at Moorlands and kept telling us how kind all the carers were. The food is good and the activities varied and according to our Mum enjoyable! On the passing of our Mum the staff were genuinely sad which was a great comfort to us, and we knew she had been well looked after and cared for.

My husband required nursing for an illness not well known, multi system atrophy. All staff members got to know him and treated him with kindness and respect, as were all members of our family who visited Moorlands. We were made to feel like part of a big loving family. He was fed and kept clean at all times and we were always welcome at any time of day or evening.

Sadly my late Mother passed away at Moorlands in a wonderful room which we knew she appreciated, even though she couldn't portray this herself. She was only there for a short space of time as sadly she was submitted (fast-track) via the NHS & was cared for by the nurses as she was at "the end of life" stages - (even though doctors in the hospital don't tell you this) - it was apparent. I couldn't thank the staff & nurses enough for their kindness. It was very much appreciated at what was, as you can imagine, a very stressful time. Now almost one year on we can look back knowing she is at peace. Much Love to everyone at Moorlands & God Bless X

My late husband was a resident in Moorlands Nursing Home for just under 4 years and whilst he was there he received good nursing care both from the nurses and carers. I did have a few problems from time to time but they were dealt with quickly. The last week of his life he was never left alone for more than a few minutes, with staff coming in all the time. His death was handled in a very efficient and sympathetic way and were very caring towards me and my son. The residents also enjoy good nourishing food with fresh vegetables and fruit and have 3 hot meals a day with all tastes catered for.

For the last year or so of their lives my parents shared a room at Moorlands Care Home. During this time they were treated with dignity and to the highest care and nursing standards. Indeed, many of the staff became close friends with my parents. I too, had an excellent relationship with junior and senior staff alike and my visits were made more enjoyable through their kindness at all times.
