QEP is a 77 room private care home that is run as three distinct, smaller care units, one offering residential care, the others nursing and dementia care. A short drive from Guildford town centre, QEP has a progressive management team, supported by local carers, and encourages an ‘open door’ visiting policy. A dedicated social secretary arranges a varied programme of activities, while other facilities include a hairdressing salon and cinema projector for matinee shows. The home has a furnished patio and small garden, and in the summer is a central part of QEP. Internet facilities are available and residents have been encouraged to embrace this as a means of communicating with relatives and loved ones. QEP works very closely with local organisations, such as the Alzheimer’s Society relatives and residents support groups, and through its range of care services is able to offer residents a seamless delivery of services through time as specific needs arise. QEP strives to deliver customised care in a communal setting and a quality of life that is purposeful for all our residents. |
