Both my parents are in Peterhouse and have been treated very well and with much respect. They are both virtually bedridden and have never had a bedsore. They are kept very clean. although the room itself could be better cared for, especially any plants! The food my father has is OK but can be a bit repetitive. Staff are very friendly and approachable and senior staff show great care. I sometimes wish the facilities for visitors were better, but apart from that and the lack of one to one stimulating activity sessions, an excellent home.

My husband William has been a resident for four years. In that time care and kindness shown to him and my daughter and me means we do not have to worry. He is in the east wing and receives twenty four hour care. The nurses and staff are always available to talk to. If he is ill we are phoned at once and kept informed of his condition.

The nursing and care my mother has received after a stay in hospital has been excellent. She is now going to be a permanent resident as she has been so comfortable here.

The standard of care in this home is very high. If problems arise they are always dealt with promptly and efficiently. As there is also an independent loving area attached to the home (flats). When activities occur if a resident is able they can join in. There is always something planned as a form of entertainment or activity on a regular basis. The home is owned by HABS.

A very bright, clean and welcoming nursery home. The carers will help you at any time. I am afraid my sister still tries to do things for herself, hating to loose her independence and not be a burden. My family feel I have done the right thing in putting my sister in the care of Peterhouse.

Mum and Dad (Edith & Alan B) came into Peterhouse together where the care, both general and medical, could not be faulted. The staff always kept us informed of their health and management. Nurses and carers were available to discuss any problems or worries. Mum was allowed to walk about in safety and was only given necessary drugs which made her happy and more contented. Nothing was too much trouble as the staff always had time to help and talk to residents. The food was nourishing with plenty of choice. I visited many nursing homes but this was the only one suitable for their needs and the only one I could trust with the care of my parents aged 95 and 96. Both mum and dad died here where they were looked after to the end by dedicated staff and had a comfortable pain free death. The family will never forget the kindness of the staff in all departments and for a recommendation, I have booked my husband and I in here when needed.
