Review of Country Lodge Nursing Home on Monday 15 July 2013 by Corrine & Clive Ball (Daughter & Son in law of resident)

From the moment that my wife and I first entered Country Lodge there was a different feel about it compared with other establishments we'd previously visited. It had a bright, friendly, feel about it and an optimism. Mum was at Country Lodge for four and half years before she passed away. The team looked after her wonderfully. Everyone would pop their heads round the door and take the time to talk with her. This ranged from the catering staff who would chat with her when wheeling the tea trolley round - to the senior nursing staff. Too many to mention, but thank you. Activities included ancillary support staff (Mo & Carol) visiting those residents who preferred to stay in their rooms, talking with them, playing quizzes and puzzles. Mum's care was excellent, there was little to fault. Nice touches such as a Christmas Carol Concert & a Summer BBQ add to the family atmosphere about the place. John (Owner) & Debbie (Manager) should be proud of the way in which they run the Home, the "Feel" to which we refer cannot be overstated.

My brother is suffering from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's which is quite a trial. He is looked after very well and is happy with the care. The nursing home is well appointed with long reaching views and a lovely garden. He is cared for very well and I have had no complaints at all. He is under the court protection so his care is paramount to all concerned.

Review of Country Lodge Nursing Home on Tuesday 28 May 2013 by Norma R (Daughter of Resident)

My father suffered a stroke in February. We were recommended by a friend to view Country Lodge as the nursing care and facilities were supposed to be excellent. How right my friend was! My family and I have been very impressed with the level of care. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff are very approachable. My father's health has improved so much that at 97 he's galloping around using his walking frame- a member of staff in attendance. I cannot speak highly enough of Country Lodge. This is the blueprint for care for the elderly.

Review of Country Lodge Nursing Home on Monday 25 March 2013 by Maureen Harding (Daughter of resident)

I should like to recommend this nursing home where my mother has spent the past 7 years. She has complex needs (Parkinson's with dementia) throughout this time the staff have shown a high degree of professionalism and sympathy in the way they have cared for her physical and mental needs. They are always friendly and welcoming and allow me to share in my mother's care (as I visit almost daily). There is a most 'homely' atmosphere in this nursing home which is complemented by the most delicious home-cooked food.
