The Gables is located at Gorleston, close to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, with views over the promenade. The home has wonderful views of the North Sea and residents are encouraged to enjoy the promenade to ‘take in the sea air’. There's always something of interest to watch. The grounds have a sheldered patio, waist high flower beds and a patio, the beach is just a stones throw away. The annual fete, held in the garden, is one way in which The Gables fully embraces the community spirit.

The property is an attractive Victorian mansion with generous
rooms, wide corridors and a wealth of fine architectural detail such as the ornate door architraves. There are also large lounges provided, some with sea views, to allow residents to relax in comfortable surroundings with their family and friends. Bedrooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated. Although all rooms are fully furnished, residents are encouraged to bring items of furniture and personal possessions with them so that their room can be a true ‘home from home’.

Care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. Staff are available constantly to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.

Residents are regularly assessed to ensure their needs are met. Visits can be arranged for an optician, dentist, and chiropodist by appointment, and the in-house hairdressing salon provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. Catering staff provide delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, and special diets are of course catered for.

A dedicated Activities Coordinator can arrange for Residents to take part in as many, or as few, activities as they wish.

Family and friends are always welcome at The Gables and we value their involvement in our resident’s care. Above all, we promote individual choice in a caring environment that is free from stress or worry.
