Barking Hall is located less than a mile from Needham Market, in the Suffolk village of Barking. The Home enjoys strong links with the local community and benefits from the amenities available through use of its own mini-bus. Residents can enjoy the quiet location overlooking fields, with the parish church a pleasant distant view. The attractive gardens incorporate a covered walkway and an enclosed courtyard garden, complete with water feature, where residents can enjoy peace and tranquillity in the security of this beautiful setting.

Barking Hall was opened in 1988 and offers the very best in either nursing or residential care. The original hall has been sympathetically and tastefully extended with a number of new bedrooms and day areas for residents. Residents may relax in the lounges provided that are decorated in an elegant period style, perfect for entertaining friends and family.

All bedrooms are en-suite with a telephone and television point provided. Although rooms are fully furnished, residents are welcome to bring with them items of furniture and personal possessions so that their room can be a true ‘home from home’.

Residents are assessed regularly to ensure their needs are met. Visits are made by an optician and chiropodist by appointment, and the in-house hairdressing salon provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, special diets can of course be catered for.

Barking Hall has a dedicated Activities Coordinator that can arrange for residents to partake in as many, or as few, activities as they wish.

Care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills, but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. Staff are available around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
