After being shown round by a member of staff, it's a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere, clean bright and spacious with good personal attention to residents. Good attention to details, the little things mean a lot.

Originally attended the coffee morning in the music room and was very impressed. Owing to 3 weeks in hospital, offered a bed at Oulton which was accepted. Would recommend to others in this situation as better than other homes visited.

Review of Barchester Oulton Park Care Centre on Wednesday 21 August 2013 by Marjorie Ing (Wife of resident)

My husband has previously receieved respite care in various homes but I must admit Oulton Park is by far the best - my husband is now a permanent resident - with his required nursing care needs. It is clean and above all smell free! The staff are the best experienced - friendly and always there to help, friendly but professional with their duties. I always find my husband clean and tidy and I get informed of any concerns or changes. Above all it is my own peace of mind after having to make a decision about his permanent care, which was very difficult to make.

Review of Barchester Oulton Park Care Centre on Monday 28 January 2013 by Barbara Yeatman (Daughter & grandson of resident)

The residents are calm and relaxed, clean and warm, obviously well fed and very well cared for. Carers too are calm, caring, efficient, always polite, smiling and welcoming. They always put the needs of residents first and a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere prevails. 'Staff all deserve medals' said one visitor. The environment is warm, bright, friendly, comfortable, clean. Stimulation and equipment of huge variety and stunning beauty, lots of activities and interesting visual and tactile equipment all around and always accessible. A truly wonderful place and I am thrilled that our mum is a resident here.
