This custom built care home is superb. It has wide airy corridors, wide doorways and each room has a fully equipped en-suite bathroom. It also has special disabled bath facilities, lovely public rooms and an overall luxurious feel. It is well staffed by expert supervisors and cheerful caring staff. The slightly high cost is worth every penny.

We are glad we chose Mill House for Mum, mainly due to the high standard of dedicated, appropriate care and nursing support she gets from a super team of friendly staff. The home is well managed, so the atmosphere is good. As its purpose built, clean and quite new, it's much pleasanter to be in than some care homes. There are attractive sitting out areas, a real plus on warm days for someone who likes being outdoors. Occasional minibus trips and optional activities bring some positive interest. Of course, no one really wants to finish up in a nursing home, it takes time to settle in, and it's expensive. But we think she's in the best possible place.

Mill House has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Without exception the staff are caring, respectful and friendly. They offer help when they believe it is required, and attend to any of my wishes without question. My wife (the sufferer and resident) is cared for in the most dignified and respectful manner and I can relax when away from her, secure in the knowledge that she is in safe hands. I do not believe I could care for her better in the circumstances.

They care, I mean they really do pay individual attention to each resident. Each person has their own 'care plan' and Chief Carer. All staff are well trained and the nursing care is highly professional. My father lives there and said it's like 'having a huge extended family' what better recommendation could you have! Lovely rooms, lots of privacy, loads of activities each month (from trips out in the minibus to gardening club, visiting musicians etc). All facilities are clean as a pin. It has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere, but is truly professional for care too!

The care given by the staff at Mill House is absolutely wonderful. So professional but also friendly and caring. The building itself is a pleasure to be in, so bright and cheerful, with everything provided for its residents. The activities available during the week are well thought out and provide essential normality for residents. We are so lucky to have such a first class home in our area. Thank you all.

Mill House is in an attractive setting a few yards from Chipping Campden with a lovely garden. It is run with a cosy home feeling and has good qualities with an excellent caring staff day and night. I would recommend it as one of the top in the country.

That it is new and purpose built means that it is a clean, bright yet homely environment with excellent facilities. The staff/resident ratio is good. Every member of staff is experienced in his or her field - laundry, catering, nursing, personal care, maintenance, administration and recreation. The management shows high respect for every member of each team and this in turn means that staff respect one another's role and the residents appreciate the staff. Staff always show great courtesy, respect and understanding towards both residents and their families. My relation has been in Mill House for 15 months. I visit at all hours and never once have I seen a fault. It should be used as an example of what care homes should and could be.

My mother is now 100. She is very frail and hard of hearing but still very determined! The staff at Mill House are immensely patient, kind and affectionate. My mother was seriously ill just before her hundreth birthday and undoubtedly would not have pulled through were it not for the dedicated care of the staff.

Mill House has the advantage of having been recently and purpose built so, as would be expected, all facilities are of a high standard and up to date. It is, however, the excellent staff (without exception in my experience) who make this a home worthy of high recommendation. My father has now been living in Mill House for over three years and during that time all the staff have done everything they can to meet all his needs. In my experience they have all been unfailing in their efforts to ensure his happiness while looking after his health and safety. As relatives we are kept well informed of his situation too. Perhaps one of the most gratifying features of the truly caring attitudes of Mill House is that they treat all the residents as individuals so that they are able to target the special needs of everyone.

I have always found the staff caring and courteous to my uncle and myself. The ambiance of Mill House is not at all institutional, the rooms being furnished in a comfortable contemporary style. There are a variety of communal rooms so residents can find somewhere quiet or join in activities as they wish and can entertain visitors without necessarily having to sit in their own room. The staff provide a range of activities for the residents so there is often something going on that interests my uncle and he appears to be happily settled since moving in two years ago.
