Aspen Court is a purpose built 2 storey home located on the northern edge of the county town of Taunton. Accommodation is offered in 42 en-suite rooms that are light and spacious. New residents soon feel at home, safe and comfortable in this popular home which provides high quality care in a first class environment. Aspen Court is registered to provide nursing care to 42 residents with dementia. 24 hour crae is provided by our care team and registered nurses. The home provides a progressive programme for elderly people living with confusional conditions. We support the existing capabilities of people with dementia by firmly placing the person before the illness. A dedicated activities co-ordinator provides a programme of meaningful activities for people living with dementia. Activities are built into all areas of life in the home. Life history and reminiscence work help to stimulate residents, so improving their self-esteem and sense of well-being.

The resident I look after has been at Aspen for 2 1/2 years. Dementia floor. There have been several emergencies, which were dealt with superbly. She is very relaxed and all the staff are extremely attentive.

My wife was the first resident in this home in 2005. She is still happy and well. She is kept clean and tidy and we as a family are always made welcome there. A tray of tea is always offered at our visits. We are all glad Winnie is in this care home and would like to thank the staff for being 1st class!

For severe dementia care there is a good ratio of staff to patients. Staff are kind and caring. Management team work hard to evaluate patient's needs. Friendly and welcoming home to relatives.

Excellent care and attention from staff. Excellent food. Pleasant homely rooms. Very well managed, numerous activities with relatives included, regular relatives meetings. Friendly staff. Good attention to appearance and needs of resident. Very homely welcoming atmosphere. Very good laundry service, clothes washed daily. Home always clean and grounds well maintained. Any concerns dealt with immediately. I am confident that my mother is safe and well cared for at Aspen Court.

After looking at many homes around the region Aspen Court was the best that I had seen and I had seen some awful ones. The manager was kind and caring, also the staff. Don has been there since last August, he is settled and looks well. The staff from cleaners, orderly, nurses and everyone else are great with him and with the rest of the patients. I no longer feel guilty for having to go down this road. To see him calm and responsive with the staff and with me and my daughters.
