Miranda House Nursing Home is situated in the High Street, near the centre of Wootton Bassett. It has been specifically built and designed to cater for the quality care of people who are suffering from a mental health related problem.
Extra wide corridors have been built to enable residents to move freely in spacious surroundings. The gardens have been landscaped specifically to allow residents ample recreational facilities. All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV points, an option for a private telephone line and are available fully furnished with options for resident's prefered special items of furniture if required. Rooms are a minimum of 13 sq.metres in size.
Medical care is provided by arrangements with a group of local medical practitioners on a 'Medical Assistants' basis. Our local consultant visits regularly. We have a hairdressing salon, a chiropodist calls regularly and we have a resident activities co-ordinator.
We provide a full 24 hour RMN nursing servide which is supplemented by our experienced Registered General Nurses.
Our kitchens will provide varied menus for all tastes including special diets for diabetics etc.
Individual Care plans are drawn up for each resident and are regularly monitored.
We are registered with the National Care Standards Commission, to provide care for 43 residents. A physiotherapist comes to the home twice a week to make assessments and recommend treatments for patients with physical impairments.
