Mom is doubly incontinent and needs two carers to wash and dress and mobilise. It is a big responsibility to find the right place for a parent who can no longer live on their own, but I am delighted with the choice I made for Mom. A friend of one of moms carers said that her Mom was at Lickey Hills and she was so enthusiastic and complementary about Lickey Hills and the care her Mom received she said I had to go and take a look and talk to them. Unfortunately at the time of my initial visit 3 weeks earlier there was no availability for mom, so I left details to be added to the waiting list and crossed everything and waited. Thankfully due to a delay in mom leaving hospital Lickey Hills did have a room available for mom when she was able to transfer. The care is excellent and all staff are always friendly nothing is too much trouble and it feels homely. I have been delighted with the level of care given to Mom since she arrived at Lickey Hills. She is treated with respect, patience and good humour. Mom seems to be very content. Now I, my family, my brothers and their families along with Mom’s carers can relax knowing that she is safe in their care.
