The Home aims to provide a lifestyle to suit individual needs, and families are encouraged to participate in all aspects of home life and to contribute in resident care planning. My father-in-law was given a place at Lickey Hills about two and a half years ago. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and dementia. Every since he moved to the home the whole family have commented on how pleased we are to be fortunate enough to have him there. He is always clean shaven and hygienically clean. His room is regularly cleaned, and there are always someone on hand if he or we need help. He is obviously well fed and cared for, which is a weight off my mother-in-law as she tried but couldn't care for him at home. We would recommend Lickey Hills to any family who have to make the difficult decision about a loved one. Well done.

Mom is doubly incontinent and needs two carers to wash and dress and mobilise. It is a big responsibility to find the right place for a parent who can no longer live on their own, but I am delighted with the choice I made for Mom.

A friend of one of moms carers said that her Mom was at Lickey Hills and she was so enthusiastic and complementary about Lickey Hills and the care her Mom received she said I had to go and take a look and talk to them.

Unfortunately at the time of my initial visit 3 weeks earlier there was no availability for mom, so I left details to be added to the waiting list and crossed everything and waited. Thankfully due to a delay in mom leaving hospital Lickey Hills did have a room available for mom when she was able to transfer. The care is excellent and all staff are always friendly nothing is too much trouble and it feels homely.

I have been delighted with the level of care given to Mom since she arrived at Lickey Hills. She is treated with respect, patience and good humour. Mom seems to be very content. Now I, my family, my brothers and their families along with Mom’s carers can relax knowing that she is safe in their care.
