The Uplands at Oxon is owned by Marches Care Ltd, a family company. The home has achieved Investors in People national standard, and as the management and core staff have all moved to the new home at Oxon, this standard is maintained.

Care is offered for 80 patients, on a long-term or short-term basis as well as dementia care, respite care, intermediate care and post-operative recuperation.

Accommodation is offered in fully-furnished rooms and residents can choose from a range of tasteful décor to suit their personal tastes. Long term residents may bring their own furniture if they wish. Uplands also offer five light and airy day rooms, one with French windows to the landscaped courtyard with wheelchair accessible gardens. There are a further two specialist day rooms available to support the dementia care unit, one of which has direct access to a dedicated courtyard garden. A further activities and Life-Long Learning room is situated upstairs, with wireless broadband access and a large screen for watching movies. The dedicated dining room provides informal surroundings for light refreshments, for patients as well as their visitors. The home also provides two hair and beauty salons, one on each floor, offering a range of treatments including massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and holistic therapies.
