Standon Hall Nursing Home The Beeches

Since Mum came to stay at Standon Hall in December I cannot emphasise enough how cared for she is. There is a lovely atmosphere, plenty of space, plenty for the resident to do, and the care supervision is of top quality. It doesn't feel like a care home when you walk in, it's friendly and staff are most helpful. Food is excellent with a choice of menu. Rooms are adequate and very clean. It's hard placing someone you love into someone else's care, but staff have made the transition more bearable and I've accepted with confidence, the situation with Mum's dementia, that she is in the right place.

Very homely and friendly, setting, staff always helpful and polite with residents first and foremost in mind. Quick to respond to requests even though my mother does not take part in activities, we are kept well informed. Thank you.

I have found the staff at The Beeches Unit welcoming and friendly when I have visited my husband. They are willing to sort out any problems relating to my husbands and keep me up to date on how he is keeping. He has Lewy Body disease and his behaviour can fluctuate, but they are keen to adapt to this an have shown patience. I appreciate the attempts to encourage him to join in any of the varied activities, which is rather difficult. The unit is well run and everyone works together as a team. The unit is not purpose built and a lot improvement to the rooms and other areas have been taking place. The manager encourages staff to have input into the running of the unit and welcomes any suggestions from relatives, such as introducing home cooking.

The staff are just wonderful....
My wife recently stayed in The Beeches at Standon Hall where she recieved the highest level of care possible. The staff were amazing, totally dedicated to the care and comfort of each patient, and they made myself and my family very welcome when ever we visited. The only slight down side is that the building itself is a bit run down but staff are working hard to improve it, which I can see the the changed every time we visit. We also spent time in Standon Hall, which is just beautiful, with a fabulous view across open countryside. We found the staff over there just as wonderful as the Beeches team. All the family cannot thank them enough for all they did for Ann. Thankyou.

Cannot fault the care and respect given to mom and her needs. Nothing is too much trouble. Friendly staff genuinely interested in care of residents. Homely atmosphere for dementia patients which is more appropriate than a clinical state of the art care home. Rooms are basic but adequate. Outside of building is a bit run down but the setting in the grounds is beautiful. Would recommend this care home for its brilliant service.
