Merseybank Care Home offers a wide range of nursing and respite care for the young physically disabled, the elderly and the elderly mentally ill. Originally built by wealthy cotton mill owners as a residential house, the house has been extended and converted for use as a nursing home retaining many of the original features. There is an extensive walled garden with a large patio area and built-in barbecue. Care is planned on an individual basis where residents, relatives and care professionals all participate in the development of individually tailored care plans. Visits can also be arranged by complimentary therapists. The Home has a full and varied activities programme with many external trips to the seaside and local tourist places arranged in the own fully adapted minibus. Visiting entertainers also perform at the Home to the delight of residents. |
