My father has been resident at this home for about four months. During which time he has been well cared for and treated with compassion and preservation of his dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.

I find the nursing staff are very good and caring with my father. The manager is excellent, the nursing home has improved 100% since the new manager arrived, she listens and acts.

My mum is in Ashwood Nursing Home and has dementia. It was the most difficult time for myself and my brother looking at nursing homes as we could no longer look after mum. Ashwood treat my mum with total respect, and are always friendly to us when we visit mum. It always smells clean and my mum's room is very pleasant and clean. Daniella, the house manager is fantastic.

This home is run on the basis of excellent care, both from carers and nurses. The rooms are always immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The food is always hot and uses only top quality meat, fish and vegetables, and any type of dietary needs are dealt without any hesitation. On top of that, the staff are always doing different activities with the residents. Nothing is too much trouble, and all questions posed by relatives are always answered. From cleaner to manageress, all staff work exceedingly hard at all times, with the highest order of care, compassion and consideration.

The care and cleanliness are second to none. You walk in and it does not feel like or 'smell' like a care home. All the staff from the manager to the cleaning and catering staff all speak when I visit Mum, and they also provide good activities and outings which my mum is able to go on. My mum always said 'I never want to go in a home' but she is very happy where she is and settled, and so well looked after - in fact all the staff love her to bits.

My wife had two severe strokes aged 65 and at 66 years of age I was advised by the NHS hospital and social services to make arrangements to get her into a nursing home. After checking some of the larger homes, it was suggested to me by a number of professional people to try Ashwood Nursing Home. Obviously this was a very difficult decision and traumatic for my wife. But all the staff have been more than considerate and kind on caring for her and all her requirements medically and physically. Due to her condation I could not ask for much more. I have seen other residents getting the same family thoughfullness and care.
