My dad has Parkinson's disease and has good and bad days. Eliot House met all his basic needs and more. They know he likes gardening and let him plant bulbs and seeds. They provide him with 24 hour care which we couldn't do at home. The staff are absolutely brilliant and give support to the whole family.

Review of Eliot House, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire by Clare Tooley (daughter)

Although Dad was only here for a very short time we felt that he was really well looked after and cared for. The staff were compassionate without over sentimentality and provided good communication. I wish he could have been here longer rather than in hospital. He was bed bound by the time he was here but would have been able to see the sky and trees and feel a breeze from the window. They tried hard to find out what he liked and he even enjoyed a glass of wine for breakfast on his penultimate day! Thank you . (Since I was only able to visit once I cannot really comment of some of the criteria below but it felt good ).

Review of Eliot House, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire by Patricia Duddles (wife of service user)

My husband was a resident in Eliot House for nearly two years. He had severe Alzheimer's. I cannot praise the care and compassion that he received and the marvellous support that I received from the staff at a very difficult time of our lives. Even when the staff were very busy they still had time for me. The food was good as well as the care with a lot of "Home cooking" and a choice. There is now a new manager in place who is making a few changers to better the Home. I have every confidence that they will go from strength to strength in the future. If you are looking for care for your relative then go along to Eliot House and have a look round. PAD
