Ernehale Lodge is a purpose built home, lovingly decorated with a homely touch.

Our over-riding aim is to ensure that all our residents are not only well looked after, but feel valued and cared for in every respect. To achieve that, our nurses and carers work side by side to meet the individual needs of the people who live here.

We are very proud of our reputation for excellent care. In October 2009 we won the Central England Yours Caring Home of the Year Award, the visiting judges noting that “the staff give one-to-one care and spend as much time with individual residents as they can”.

Other stimulating activities include bingo, dominoes, talking books, craft sessions, knitting, visits to the park to feed the ducks and in-house church services.

Whatever their role, our staff pride themselves on attending to our residents’ comfort and well-being during their stay with us.

Review of Ernehale Lodge Care Home, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire by M R (Relative of Resident)

Ernehale is recommended by me. After seeing 12 other homes, Ernehale is well staffed, very clean always and always very friendly and polite. They genuinely care about the staff, the residents and the family visitors. Fantastic meals. Plenty of activities to participate in. Trips out if residents choose. Nothing is too much trouble. Open house policy makes it feel very welcoming. When you put your familiy member into care it is a very emotionally difficult decision. Ernehale really helped support us and continue to do so each week, at this upsetting time. They are sensitive to our requirements. It is a very special place where the staff are well trained and really do care about their own staff and this filters through into the care they then provide to the residents. They deserve recognition for a job very well done, excellent all round.

Review of Ernehale Lodge Care Home, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire by Patricia L (Relative of Resident)

My elderly Mum had to go into a care home after several months in hospital, she was very frail. The care at Ernehale has been excellent, understanding her needs with kindness. She is now happy, contented, and gaining strength each day. Ernehale has a warm, friendly, home from home atmosphere, looking after her physical and mental well-being. There are many activities that she can be involved in if she wishes, and her family and friends are always welcome to be involved. Since arriving there earlier this year, Mum has had a good old traditional sea-side day held within the home, with beach hut, sand, and paddling pool on the patio; enjoyed the sensory garden; singalongs and many more interesting activities. It gives peace of mind to know that she is being given such good overall care. I can certainly recommend Ernehale Lodge Care Home, they do Care.
