Ernehale Lodge is a purpose built home, lovingly decorated with a homely touch.
The aim is to ensure that all residents are not only well looked after, but feel valued and cared for in every respect. To achieve this, nurses and carers work side by side to meet the individual needs of the people who live here, encouraging resident choices and promoting independence.
Residents at Ernehale Lodge can enjoy a beautiful Sensory Patio Garden, part of which includes a small allotment area where residents grow vegetables for the kitchen. Other stimulating activities include visits from a PAT dog, bingo, dominoes, talking books, craft sessions, knitting, visits to the park to feed the ducks and in-house church services.
The home is very proud of a reputation for excellent care. In October 2009 they won the Central England "Yours Caring Home of the Year Award", the visiting judges noting that “the staff give one-to-one care and spend as much time with individual residents as they can”.
Care Staff have also been finalists in the Great British Care Awards and Winners of the Great East Midlands Care Awards in recent years.
Whatever their role, staff pride themselves on attending to residents’ comfort and well-being during their stay.

I visited this home for my dad who has dementia. The manager was excellent. She showed us round the home, spent time with us, and explained in depth. This manager deserves a medal.
