Review of St Augustine's Court Care Home, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire by Anthony Wardle (Son of resident)
Saturday 9 February 2013
My mother has Dementia which requires her to need one to one care, having spent almost 3 years in hospital and unsuccessful stays in previous care homes we were fortunate in December 2012 to be referred to St Augustine's Court Care Home in Nottingham. Although, it's early days the change in my mother's general well being is significant. There's not a specific reason I can offer for this improvement, it appears to me to be a combination of appropriate resource, management, staff ratio to resident, knowledge of Dementia in all its forms, staff experience and individual care for the residents in their charge. As previously mentioned it's early days in my mother's case but early indications are positive.

Review of St Augustine's Court Care Home, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire by Val N (Daughter of Resident)
Wednesday 2 May 2012
My mother needed to move from a residential home to one with nursing care. Having looked at about 15 homes which I did not like, I was given the above home to look at. I was not keen in the area it was in, but agreed to go. I visited unannounced and was made very welcome by Angie the Team Leader. She explained about the care, activities, food and answered questions on my concerns. I moved my mum to the home expecting a dip in her health and behaviour; however she has settled really well and is more alert, taking interest in what is going on. There is a noticeable change, this is down to the team work at the home.
