Excellent care given in the nursing unit, residents and their family treated with dignity. Residents encouraged but not forced to do things. Recently re-furbished rooms and decor, calming and much more unisex. I would recommend Newton Court to family and friends.

Review of Newton Court Nursing & Residential Home on Wednesday 30 April 2014 by Margaret Ludley (Mother was a resident)

My mother was resident for 7 months after surgery for a broken hip at the age of 95 but was completely bed bound. Newton Court is spotless, well-run and the staff are friendly and always helpful in answering any queries. I felt my mother could not have had better care and the dignity and compassion shown at her departing were exceptional.

The care residents receive in this home is extremely good. Care staff are very supportive and caring. The home has recently been refurbished and provide a bright clean environment for residents. The only downside is the activities co-ordinator who appears to do very little for residents on the activities front but his seems to be being addressed with the employment of two other co-ordinators who seem and have a clearer view of what residents would like and more communication with their families.

A happy, pleasant ambience, helped me choose Newton Court. The nursing staff and carers on the upstairs Nursing care unit always went the extra step. They helped the family maintain dad's dignity and life. Linda the manager was excellent to deal with. Just telling dad that Christine had phoned to say she got home safely on a daily basis - a little thing but a major thing when he is separated from the one he loves. They supported both the patient and the family during what is a difficult period of adjustment.

I can't speak highly enough of the care my mother gets at Newton Court. She has been a resident for a couple of years so I've had plenty of opportunity to see that the staff are unfailingly kind and genuinely caring towards both residents and their families. Families and friends are welcome to visit at any time, which I find very reassuring. The home is currently being fully redecorated (October 2013) and the staff have managed to stay cheerful and good humoured throughout all the disruption this has caused.

Review of Newton Court Nursing & Residential Home on Wednesday 23 October 2013 by Carole Cameron (daughter of resident)

My Mum is treated as an individual and with great respect by all the staff. Their concern for her welfare could not be better. They are attentive, caring, kind and gentle. They are also very supportive and considerate to my needs as they understand how emotionally difficult I find it to have Mum in care. Wonderful people doing an incredibly difficult job - cannot recommend them highly enough.

Personal care and consideration for residents by nursing staff is second to none and food and facilities are excellent. Furthermore if a doctor is required there is no delay in calling the doctor to attend the home.

Review of Newton Court Nursing & Residential Home on Tuesday 18 September 2012 by Stewart Tomlinson (son of resident)

The first thing that hit me about Newtons court was no smell as we know you can get this in a lot of homes but not only that, I was put at ease straight away by all the staff and to know Mum was going to be looked after well was a load of my mind. Mum is a very quiet, private person and does not like fuss so if she wants to wander round she can if she wants to stay in her room that is her choice. The staff are really caring and nothing is too much trouble for them, the food is very varied and good, the cleanliness for either the residents or their families is very good. The staff care, manner, attitude, patience and expertise cannot be faulted. I am kept up to date with Mum’s health. My mum is settled and happy and because of this, so am I. I feel privileged to be able to recommend Newtons Court Care Centre.
