Rowans Care Centre

Rowans Care Centre is a purpose built 36 bedded home in a quiet area of Macclesfield. Within close distance of the town centre, Rowans is situated next to a small school and is conveniently located on a regular bus route with access to a number of local shops.

The Care Centre specialises in a range of care for the elderly from assistance with basic living tasks through to elderly nursing clients and clients with dementia and related difficulties. The Care Centre has a dedicated, multi skilled nursing team who work with a person centred approach, adapting to residents' needs. The team ensure that Rowans is a happy, welcoming and homely environment for all our residents.

Rowans has been extensively refurbished to a high standard; the addition of an extension has provided a large lounge conservatory living area on the ground floor. In addition, there is a smaller; quiet 'Reminiscence' lounge and family kitchen located on the second floor.

Bedrooms are single occupancy and are located on both floors, with passenger lift access to the first floor. All bedrooms and communal areas are fitted with a call bell system so that staff assistance can be obtained quickly and easily.

Rowans is a very warm, welcoming and vibrant home with a dedicated activities team who run sherry mornings, bingo sessions, games/exercise, arts/crafts and baking sessions. Regular entertainment is provided for residents including a piano player who visits the home on a weekly basis.

Additionally, Rowans Care Centre works very closely with the voluntary group 'Food for Macc’ who work with the local community to encourage and support people to grow their own vegetables. The group have helped Rowans build their own vegetable beds and residents are involved in planting and growing seeds indoors until they are ready to be planted in the beds. Rowans experienced strong crops which has provided the centre with a great selection of fresh vegetables.

Rowans Care Centre is passionate about client care; the dedicated management and staff ensure that Rowans is a home from home for all residents.
