Water Royd House is located in Gilroyd, a small village near to Barnsley town centre. The home has easy access to the M1. Local shops, library, hairdressers, surgery, pharmacy, public house and post office are all closeby. Originally built in the 1960’s Water Royd House has always been used as a Care Home. In 2003 however, the old building was demolished to make way for a completely new care home with class-leading standards. Water Royd House provides accommodation for 64 residents in 64 single rooms with en-suite facilities. All rooms are fully carpeted and decorated to a high standard. Each room contains a television, nurse call system, fire detection, bed, commode or toilet, chest of drawers and central heating with thermostatic controls. The home has a well maintained garden and a secluded patio for residents to enjoy in summer months. Parking is available for up to 20 cars. |
