My mum has dementia and relies on the care 24/7. I visit at various times of day and so does my daughter. We always find her in good care. We are always welcomed by the staff and I sometimes visit with 2 greyhounds and everyone is very happy to see us. Mum used to own dogs and doesn't really know much but she likes to pat the dogs.

My husband was a resident at Abbey Place for just over 2 years until his death in March 2016. Having researched for a suitable care home, mainly without success, we finally found Abbey Place. I visited my husband every day and always found the staff to be incredibly caring, treating all the residents with good humour, patience and respect. My husband had alzheimer's and was not always easy, but without exception he was helped to recover his good humour by humour, teasing, therapy with what he enjoyed and real affection.
