Woodlands Care Home overlooks the Calder Valley and is surrounded by established woodland full of wildlife. Set within 47 acres of woodland and maintains much of its original character. The Home has been carefully restored and had the advantage of some magnificent views over the Calder Valley from many of its rooms. A planned and caring approach is planned, that focuses on individual needs in a friendly environment over a 24-hour period. The care incorporates each resident’s psychological, social, physical, spiritual and motivational needs. Group and one-to-one therapies and diversional activities are organised along with outside entertainment. There are trips to the local pub, park, shops, and garden centres in our own minibus, arts & crafts, sing-a-longs, flower shows, videos, exercise sessions, barbecues, bingo, dances, visiting entertainers, reminiscence groups and plenty more. |
