9.1 Priory Gardens Care Home has a Review Score of 9.1 (9.127)

The Review Score of 9.1 (maximum of 10) for Priory Gardens Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Priory Gardens Care Home in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.78 for Priory Gardens Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (46 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.78

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered beds. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered beds has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

The 4.347 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Priory Gardens Care Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 14.4 positive Reviews (72 registered beds ÷ 5). 5 Reviews ÷ 14.4 Target = 0.347

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

My mother was a resident for only a matter of weeks. During that time she received the best possible care from all the staff employed at priory Gardens. They were caring, kind and considerate. They offered all necessary to ensure that as her life drew to a close she was comfortable.

My father passed away last week after spending almost a year in Priory Gardens. We, as family, have been extremely impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff and feel that our father has been enabled to live out the last days of his life with dignity and in comfort. The love and care shown to him has been heart-warming and has genuine sympathy and sorrow shown by the staff at his passing.

My father was a resident in nursing care at Priory Gardens for almost a year until his death last week. Throughout this period the staff were kind and caring and took the time to ensure his comfort and make him smile. They were patient when he was noisy and always ensured that his dignity remained intact. Many thanks to all at Priory Gardens for their kind and caring attitude.
