(Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.
(For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

Review submitted from a Postal Card by A D (Friend of Resident/Service User) on Monday 7 November 2016. Review relates to October 2016.
I have visited this home every week for at least 18 months. I have found staff to be generally very helpful and caring. However, staffing levels are far too low considering there are about 30+ residents with advanced dementia and high care needs. Many requiring hoisting for bathing and feeding at mealtimes, are in incontinence pads, frequently soiling etc etc. On 22/10/16 PM there was a shift manager and 2 other staff members, one being downstairs showing people around. Wish to say that staffing levels are too low, more please.

Recommendation submitted from a Website Submission by Mike Paxton (Son of Resident/Service User) on Saturday 31 January 2015. Recommendation relates to January 2015.
I have previously entered a recommendation of this home on their web site.
Unfortunately my father passed away on the 28th January in Harrogate District Hospital after being a resident in the home for nearly three years.
I can honestly say that these were three of the happiest years of his life. He classed Sycamore Hall as being "my home" and he meant it.
I cannot praise highly enough the management and staff of Sycamore Hall and I know they they loved my father as much as he loved them. What more could a relative ask for.
For any relative wondering if this is the right home for their relative all I can say is visit the home and you will see for yourself how good it is.
I cannot praise them enough and all I can do is to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the care and love they gave my father.
