Briarwood has acquired a reputation as having the very highest standards for residents with all levels of care, employing highly trained registered nurses and care assistants who provide 24-hour professional support.
Briarwood’s experienced team of staff are all trained in looking after people, including those with dementia and complex needs. Looking to provide a balance between support when it’s needed, and helping residents maintain their independence, whilst encouraging each resident to lead a full and active lifestyle wherever possible.
The person-centred care for every resident is unique. Therefore each resident has their own plan of care that meets their emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs as well as physical needs. Staff are committed to helping residents to maintain self-respect and dignity at all times.
Stimulation and activities are particularly important for residents who enjoy physical and mental activities such as baking, reminiscence, painting, music and arts, gardening, pet care, gentle exercise and life skills, which helps bolster their strength and energy, improve their appetite and humour, and offers them an opportunity to interact with staff and other residents.
