Prior to my mother's admission to Victoria House, my experience of the care home sector was confined to the negative stories in the media and I didn't have very high hopes. I am delighted to say however that the care she received here was nothing short of outstanding in every single aspect. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything she needed was done promptly and that it was done perfectly. The consistent hard work, compassion, professionalism and humanity shown by all of the staff in caring for my mother was astonishing and something for which I will always be grateful. I can't recommend Victoria House highly enough - a real credit to the care home sector!

I have been astonished by the calm and flexibility shown by the staff at Victoria House given most of their residents have complex needs. All staff exude professionalism, politeness and incredible calm and handle difficult situations with confidence. The building is divided into 4 sections making a very homely feel. The food is fabulous and healthy and served flexibly as patient's needs dictate. It is a huge benefit that my mother has been able to transition seamlessly from residential to nursing care with the same familiar smiling faces looking after her needs.

My mother was accepted into care at Victoria House Care Centre in Feb 2011, after a couple of weeks she settled in very nicely, this was down to help and friendly staff and management. Mam has now been there for a year and this helps to keep her family happy knowing she is safe and well looked after.

My husband has been in this home since last September 2011, and the staff and the carers are so nice and friendly, and on the whole it is one of the best homes in Stockton. I have no regrets putting Ken in this home. He is well looked after.

The residents are always kept clean and tidy. The staff are always very helpful. I could not ask for a better place for the care of my husband.

I have found this carehome to be very caring and is a clean and comfortable environment for my father. I have peace of mind that the best of care is being given at all times. Highly recomended.

I would recommend Victoria House because its a lovely pleasant place, its kept so clean, all the staff are pleasant and polite they always go out of their way if the residents require any assistance always offering tea to relatives. They make you feel at ease, especially when you don't want to leave your loved one there. Its like home from home. I would like to thank them for all their help and support.

I recommend Victoria House Care Home because they are amazing at looking after their resident's, not just them but their families too, their always on hand. There is only one place for me and thats Victoria House to me its not a care home its just a (home) and for my dad its the one for him.

I would recommend this care home to anybody. My mam has been in Victoria House nearly five years. She gets looked after by the staff all of the girls are lovely. If there are any problems they see to them straight away. Managers and staff are excellent.

I think the staff are very friendly and genuinly seem to care about my mother. They are often going past and stop and give her a cuddle. My dad and myself are pleased with the standard of care and staff.
