The staff are exceptionally kind and caring towards my father and friendly towards me. They are dedicated and work very hard, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. After my mother died the activities co-ordinator took the trouble to find a tutor for my father to reawaken his interest in water colour painting, remarkable at 95. They framed his first painting and displayed it.

After many years in a number of different homes, my dear Nan was moved to Ty Enfys for the last 6 weeks of her life. The staff made those 6 weeks so worthwhile and so much easier for us as a family. This really is a 'care' home where care comes first. The quality of facilities is excellent but the most important thing is that the staff really do care. They are well trained and take great pride in the work that they do. We can't thank them enough for the love that they showed to Nan. Ty Enfys is a model of best practice. If others in the sector could operate with the same professionalism, commitment and care then the world would be a better place.

My mother is 94, immobile and has dementia. She is now recovering from pneumonia, but being tired and frail can only take sips of drink. Mum has been in several homes over the years but given her age and present condition this is by far the best with superb caring staff who are welcoming to the family. One reason we moved mum from Monmouthshire was to be near us, now that we live in Cardiff, so we can visit very regularly and play our part. We couldn't ask for more in her remaining days.

Last year my husband was diagnosed with a rapidly advancing form of Alzheimer's by a medical team in hospital, having lost mobility and speech fluency, and had become agitated. I had been caring for him at home but it had become difficult so I reluctantly followed professional advice. When I found Ty Enfys I was initially impressed by the atmosphere and décor, but more so when I saw the wonderful care by the staff who are all very aware of the individuals, especially ones in the EMI part. There are many entertainments/activities for all residents.

My mum-in-law spent the last few years of her life at Ty Enfys ultimately suffering from dementia. It was a very trying period for our family, the staff and carers were excellent in their care for mum right to the end and very comforting to us. As a result I am now a volunteer at the home and would highly recommend Ty Enfys as a care home.

The staff were marvellous with my mother. She settled in so well and was happy there even though it was for a very short time. They were also a great support to me when my mother passed away.

My father has been a resident in Ty Enfys for a nearly two and a half years. He says it is the best move he has made and is very happy there. The facilities and the wonderful activities programme are all outstanding, but its the care that the staff provide that makes this home so truly unique. All the staff contribute to making the home a welcoming and friendly environment, and going well beyond the call of duty in their care for their residents. I am delighted to bale to recommend the wonderful home of Ty Enfys.

Having looked at many care homes, I have no regrets that I chose Ty Enfys for my mother's care, the staff are exceptional, both in their professional capacity and in their caring attitude to residents. The lovely furniture, large windows and cheerful staff make it a pleasure to visit and the large foyer and coffee lounge are a blessing and a change of scenery when the weather prevents a trip around the lovely gardens. Activities are plentiful and varied, something for everyone.

My mother has been transferred to another facility (nearer to her sister and friends). I was asked to fill this form in by the home manager. Whilst my mother was at Ty Enfys I was very pleased with all aspects of the home and I would recommend it. The staff were so attentive and caring. The building was very welcoming and the people were friendly.

Father moved to Ty Enfys because the previous home could not meet his dementia needs. Since moving his general health and well being has greatly improved. All staff from management down are fantastic. I cannot praise them enough for their care and devotion.

Ty Enfys is a bright, modern, purpose built home. The staff are excellent, very caring and approachable, and there's a weekly programme of activities. Birthdays and other special occasions are also celebrated. Lovely warm feeling when you walk in. My mother moved in nearly 2 years ago and settled down very quickly, although she moved 200 miles to live close to me.
