Reviewer Connection to Campion Gardens Care Home, Day Care & Convalescence Care Hotel
Review submitted from a Website Submission by Paul G (Son of Resident/Service User) on Monday 4 July 2016. Review relates to June 2016.
My Mum had lived in the Residential dementia unit at Campion Gardens for 2 1/2 years before she passed away this May. It was home for her. She loved the staff, they were amazing with her! She was a very outgoing and social person in her youth, so she really enjoyed using all the facilities - she'd go to the hairdressers/coffee morning and the chapel every week. She loved the art classes and the musical entertainment. I went along myself a few times and the staff always had her up singing and dancing. We'd often go to the restaurant at Willow Court to as it was on site so really convenient. The place is clean, never smells! I can't thank the staff enough for what they did for my mum, and for my family. They were really supportive during her final days. Making the decision for my mum to go into a care home was the hardest I've ever had to make, but I am so glad I did. It was the best thing for her and even through her confusion I knew she was happy, and that's all I wanted for her.
