Who we care for 62 beds registered with the Scottish Care Commission, provide personal care and support for 5 younger people with physical disability, 19 people with EMI, 9 older people with LD, 32 older people. All in individual units and staff teams.

Under management of Jean Young, Beechwood operates with staffing that reflects the needs of the clients that reside there. Staff have either achieved SVQ 2 and SVQ3 or are working towards achieving this, this enables staff to provide a positive person-centred approach to support each individual within Beechwood.

Individual service plans are outcome based and aimed at supporting individuals in achieving the highest quality of life. We actively promote and encourage independence through a structured and supportive approach to everything that we do.

General description

Beechwood is a purpose built home that was opened in 1999 with a large enclosed garden on both sides of the home with a further two patios to the front of the building. The home is laid out over two storeys, tastefully decorated, providing a high standard of accommodation throughout. The residents are encouraged to individualise their rooms to create a homely atmosphere. There is extensive communal living space including lounge, dining room that also doubles for arts and crafts, kitchen, bathrooms and utility room.

Beechwood Park is ideally situated for local amenities. There are a number of local resources that are very close by such as, shops, pubs and a bus stop that enables the clients to visit Stirling and Hellfoot.

The staff team support and provide guidance to the individual to pursue their interests and hobbies. Whilst living at Beechwood clients have the opportunity to attend social led activities. Clients have a very active social life, attending local clubs and accessing of local community facilities.
