My mum is very well looked after and all of her needs are met. She is very happy here. The staff are very caring and go beyond the call of duty. The home has recently been re-furbished and a cinema has been added, showing films every afternoon and evening. The meals provided are to the highest quality and all the residents dignity is preserved all the time. If I have a question or query about mums care, it is always dealt with immediately and to my satisfaction. The nursing and care staff are very approachable. There is also plenty of activities going on to stimulate the residents.

This home has changed so much. Before I used to be so stressed at leaving my father. Now I have no worries at all. Everything runs like clockwork. You could not ask for better staff. The Orchard is like a home from home. Nothing is too much for the staff. I feel they do go the extra mile for the residents. The facilities are outstanding.

Very little in the way of problems and if any arise they are attended to as soon as possible. All depts work well with each other and are respectful to residents and relatives. The residents are not treated as guests, but rather as if they are in their home and are encouraged to keep mobility at the highest level possible.

Review of The Orchard Care Centre, Alloa, Clackmannanshire by Moria W (Sister of Residents)
Thursday 23 February 2012
One sister was there for 2 weeks having come up from Stranraer. Another sister has been in Orchard for almost 4 years having come from Glasgow from a psychiatric hospital. In both cases care has been excellent and staff always make visitors welcome. Whereas in Glasgow visitors had to take flasks of water to make tea/coffee when they arrived. It took me almost 2 hours to get there!
