Set within large, secluded wooded grounds and conveniently located near the M80 and the towns of Stirling, Falkirk, Kilsyth and Cumbernauld.

All single rooms are located on one level and are bright and spacious with their own en-suite and many with shower facilities. Residents can also enjoy home cooked meals in any of the four lounge and dining areas, with all dietary requirements catered for.

A full activity programme is available together with a mini bus for trips to places of local interest.

      The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

      1. 3 points for receiving the first Positive Review.

      2. 0.1 Point per Positive Review, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. (ie a care home / service requires 10 Positive Reviews to receive the maximum score of 1 point.)

      3. (Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.

        (For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

      The Quantity Score of 3.654 for Bankview is calculated as follows:

      1. 5 Positive Reviews = 3

      2. 0.1 x 5 Positive Reviews = 0.500

      3. (5 Positive Reviews ÷ 65 Registered Beds) x 2 = 0.154

  • The Review Score is based on user Recommendations/Reviews submitted in the last 2 years. The maximum Review Score is 10. There are 5 Points available for the average of all ratings on users Recommendations/Reviews (Excellent 5, Good 4, Satisfactory 3, Poor 2, Very Poor 1). There are 5 Points available for the total number of positive Recommendations/Reviews submitted in relation to the number of beds at the Care Home.

  • Before 1st July 2015 carehome.co.uk only accepted Recommendations (positive comments only) and the Ratings were limited to Excellent, Good & Satisfactory. These are marked up as Recommendations.

  • As of 1st July 2015 carehome.co.uk changed from Recommendations to Reviews (positive and negative comments) and added the Ratings Poor and Very Poor. These are marked up as Reviews. Between 1st July and 31st December 2015, we are still processing a number of Recommendations from Recommendation cards sent out before 1st July (These are marked up as Recommendations).

  • We receive approximately 15% of Reviews/Recommendations through website submission and 85% of Reviews/Recommendations through Review/Recommendation Cards (only available to Enhanced / Premium Services more info).

  • We only accept/publish Reviews that are submitted by a Resident/Service User or their Friends/Family (cannot be submitted anonymously) and comply with our Content Standards (eg are relevant, informative, civil and do not contain allegations of abuse, negligence or criminal activity).

My mum is well cared for. Staff know her and her ways very well. Staff are patient and understanding and manage her behaviour with patience and a sense of humour. They treat her with the respect she is due. I can relax in the knowledge that mum is looked after, as I can't manage many visits due to long working hours.

The Care Home is easy to communicate with and they keep us up to date with my aunt's progress, contacting us directly if there are any issues they feel we should be aware of. The staff are caring and know my aunt well, working with her to support her through times of difficulty.

My grandmother entered Bankview with many ongoing health issues but mainly dementia that was difficult to manage in her care. The staff welcomed her in and have cared for her in such a remarkable way. She is now content and is looking well and putting weight on. Staff always open and honest and listen to family views and concerns.

Thank you Fraser for your kind words. We are pleased that your Grandmother is happy at Bankview.

My mum has been living in Bankview Nursing Home for nearly 2 years now. She was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and as a family was struggling to give mum the care that she needed. When we got notified that mum was going into full time care, we were filled with mixed emotions and worry. All I can say that our fears were very quickly put to rest once I met up with the staff at Bankview. They are very professional and treat my mum with the respect and care that she deserves. my mum is very happy in her new surroundings and her health and wellbeing has improved dramatically since going into Bankview.

I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to consider looking at Bankview as an option for their loved ones as I now look at them as my extended family and feel very blessed that I have found people that care for my mum in a very loving and professional manner.
