Review of Duchess Nina Care Home, Hamilton, Lanarkshire by Visitor (Regular visitor to home)
Wednesday 27 February 2013
Duchess Nina is a very warm, welcoming and loving home. Over the years, this hidden gem despite it being a touch tired at the edges, I have honestly noticed a dramatic improvment in its environment, they now have more en suite rooms. The ambiance is truly, cheerful, peaceful and thoughtful... away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre. What surprises me the most is that despite it being a nursing home the home is still very clean and free from odors. There always appears to be activities for the residents on offer which is great. The manager and staff are very friendly indeed... I couldn't recommend Duchess Nina enough!!! What I also very much appreciate about Duchess Nina is that it is really small and homely...truly a home from home! So staff can get to know the residents really well which understandably can be sometimes difficult in much larger care homes. But what really endears me to Duchess Nina the most is that there are always the same cheerful staff which surely must be good for the residents and I would never turn down the opportunity to have a slice of their home baked cake and cup of tea! I would definitely place my parents in this home without a doubt in the future as the care is brilliant. Regular Visitor to Duchess Nina
