Cumbrae Lodge is contracted directly to Ayrshire and Arran Health Board and provides the highest quality care to elderly residents with mental health problems. Residents are actively encouraged to individualise their rooms with personal items of furniture and decor. They are also encouraged to make full use of their rooms, the spacious lounge area or the quiet rooms in each department. All social and psychological needs are addressed as well as physical requirements ensuring a true, holistic environment. Consultant psychiatrists visit weekly and residents have free access to the full range of hospital professionals. Activities are designed to cater for residents of varying capabilities, to ensure everyone receives stimulation and encouragement.
