South Grange Care Centre is a purpose-built home on the outskirts of 'Bonnie Dundee' in the seaside town of Monifieth. Built on the site of a previous farm building, the home has retained the charm of the 'Mill' which is now our main lounge. We provide first-class 24-hour nursing and residential care alongside expert care for people with Multiple Sclerosis. We also offer respite care, including short breaks and care for people with a physical disability.
The Seven Arches is a purpose -built facility within South Grange Care Centre, providing expert care for young clients with acquired brain injuries, neurological disorders and those clients who need to be ventilated.
The team at Seven Arches work with each client to facilitate a plan of care specific to individual needs and can provide slow stream rehabilitation as well as long term and palliative care.
Our team of highly-qualified and attentive staff really focus on the individual needs of our residents with a tailored care plan for each person. And our dedication can be seen across the board - in our cooking, hospitality and organising activities for our residents.

Review of Barchester South Grange Care Home
My mother, Mrs Mary MacDougall, has been a resident of South Grange Care Home for 6 years and is now in her 96th year. Being retired, I am able to visit her three or four times each week so I have an excellent day-to-day knowledge of the Care Home over a number of years. May I say how delighted I am with the extremely high quality of care which South Grange affords. This is a first-class home with a thoroughly welcoming atmosphere and 'open door' policy allowing me to visit mother at any time of the day. The staff are not only extremely helpful and supportive at all times but also often go well beyond 'the call of duty' to ensure that all needs are met in a thoroughly professional manner. A varied programme of day activities is provided for all residents and this includes carpet bowling and chair-based exercises. Well maintained gardens provide ample opportunities for wheel-chair walks whilst the overall setting of the home, in beautiful Angus countryside, is quite breathtaking. The quality of the meals provided at South Grange could hardly be bettered! I am able to enjoy a meal with my mother each week and can therefore vouch for this! A small private dining room may be booked in advance for residents to entertain family and friends and this has been a most welcome innovation. Excellent varied menus for main meals plus a splendid afternoon tea service with top quality home baking make many visits a special delight. Linen napkins, linen tablecloths and a flower on the table add a nice touch! Most importantly, however, this is a kind and welcoming Care Home. You sense that as soon as you enter the front door where a most helpful reception staff will attend to any enquiry or need. South Grange was recommended to me by good friends when the time came for mother to be properly looked after. How enormously grateful I was to have this initial recommendation. If I myself had to be in care, I cannot imagine a finer home than South Grange in which to spend final days. I recommend this Care Home most warmly to anyone contemplating residential care.
