Ellen Mhor supports adults with a learning disability and complex needs in a structured and therapeutic environment where learning disability nurses offer care and support.
The needs of residents include additional mental health problems and behaviours that challenge services.
At the 12 bed residential service there is good access to appropriate clinical and therapeutic specialist support to enable the nursing staff to deliver creative, flexible and effective responses to individual need.
Service users at Ellen Mhor range from people stepping down from the hospital provision to people who may need a more robust package of care than can be provided in supported living.
Some people are also living at Ellen Mhor as part of their pathway to a place of their own.
